We don’t know anything about what would or would not fit the student other than (a) economics or political science major, and (b) no parent money for anything other than Texas A&M. Likely another community college would be as unacceptable to the parents as Blinn Team. Also, starting at community college (Blinn or otherwise) would mean another admission process to transfer to Texas A&M.
So the choices for the OP are:
- Safety: automatic full ride scholarships
- Match?: Texas A&M
- Reach: competitive full ride scholarships
