Both are high matches until you increase your critical reading score. Stern especially cares about this, but your significantly lower reading score will be a red flag to CAS too because you are Indian-American and therefore potentially less proficient in English. That’s probably not the case, but I’m not the one you have to convince. Do Kaplan SAT prep this fall. The people sucked and so did most of the lessons, but it increased my math score from 670 to 770. Just take the lessons as seriously as you can and do the practice tests. You have impressive math and writing scores, but unfortunately critical reading and math are the most important.

As for GPA, increase it. If NYU is your first choice, then focus on your objective stats: GPA and SAT. This means that you might want to drop a few ECs. Keep the ones in which you lead the most.

If you want to get into Cornell or Berkeley, you have to maintain all of your ECs and still increase your GPA/SAT. They’re both pretty selective, especially Cornell’s AEM program. You need to show steady academic improvement (gradually increasing GPA/achievements over high school career) as well as leadership in many different areas. Right now those schools are reaches, but you can make them high matches.

Stony Brook, Binghamton, and Boston are matches, low matches, or safeties. If you’re going for business, definitely google “best undergraduate business schools 2013” and check out which ones you would like to apply to. The best ones are usually in the best universities, so premed is also pretty good at those same schools.

Good luck, dude! I hope this helped! If you come up with a list of other schools you are interested in, I’ll chance them.
