To answer generally: we usually award about 100 University scholarships per year (amount varies; usually worth $5,000 or $10,000 per year), and about 20 College Honors scholarships (cover full tuition). You cannot receive both a College Honor and a University scholarship.
Information about merit scholarships, including information about National Merit, can be found here: https://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu/costs/scholarships.shtml
Also (and I know this might seem out of place, but I always feel the need to say it)- please do not feel bad if you were not offered a merit scholarship. While CC as a microcosm of concerned and qualified applicants can make it seem like EVERYONE has one, as you can see the number of merit scholarships awarded per year is very limited.
