So sorry I’ve been absent. I’m the OP. I appreciate everyone’s advice so much. Just wanted to update you all that my son has decided to direct his focus toward digital art/game art/design and technology.
He is looking forward to National Portfolio Day and a local meeting with SCAD here in Los Angeles.
Still haven’t made final decisions as to where he will apply. Strong contenders are Otis, LCAD, SCAD, Parsons, Ringling, RIT, and SVA. There are some others on the list, but people don’t seem to discuss them as much on this board with regard to digital art, etc, so we’re not sure what to think yet. Schools on that secondary list are College for Creative Studies, FIT, Maine College of Art, Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, and The University of the Arts.
I’m open to all of your comments and opinions.
