The website states that scholarships are based on academic merit, financial obligations and college potential, so if my family earns a high enough income to disqualify me from typical financial aid, should I still apply for the scholarship (there is a section that asks for any other family members that are supported by the family income at this moment, and I did mention that I have an older sibling who will attend college in the fall without scholarship aid, if that makes a difference).</p>
