My D was set on applying ED to Vassar, after visiting and researching at least 15 comparable LACs. After her final college visit, to Carleton the summer before senior year, she changed her mind and applied to Carleton ED instead and is very happy with her decision. For her, it came down to perceived differences in the student bodies - she thought the kids at Carleton seemed happier, friendlier, and more excited to be there; and that the vibe at Vassar had more of an East Coast, hipster, clove cigarette feel to it.
