Carry on suitcase

@thumper1 - I don’t know if my bag is made anymore - it’s a 2 wheeled Samsonite utlra-light that I bought at TJ Maxx 5 years ago. I’ve only seen 4 wheeled, hard sided version recently so am assuming those are heavier.

I ordered this https://sherpani.com/collections/travel-bags/products/877293035664?variant=5648782917660. I ordered it from Moosejaw and used a 20% off code. Also went through Mr Rebates and will get a 12% rebate. I also had a long sitting credit for $30 with them which is why I ordered it from Moosejaw. I have a Sherpani rolling duffle bag that I love so I’m hoping I like this bag. If not I’ll return it.

If it helps, I use an ebags bag… I think it is called a weekend convertible or something. I’ve had it for years. No wheels and it goes flat when empty. Converts between a regular bag with a handle and a backpack. It’s the size of a regular carry on size suitcase, but more squishy and fits on every plane. Sometimes I pack it within my luggage if going away on a big trip, so I can use it as an extra suitcase to bring things home.

We have a Rick Steve’s convertible backpack like that—flat when empty and no wheels but can be carried like suitcase or worn as backpack. We got it in rust/orange so it’s easy to spot. We bring gifts in it sometimes and then dirty laundry on the way home. It can hold quite a bit but we try to keep it light—very light empty!

@HImom , agree! I love that bag!

@mom60 I have had several Sherpani bags and loved them all!
