I feel your pain! My husband is the mosquito magnet in our family. He manages to get bitten in places you’d never thought had mosquitoes!

Actually stood in line at The Holy Donut in Portland, ME for the first time for one of these lauded maple-bacon potato-based donuts. Totally underwhelming. I’ll never get that time back. If you’re ever in Maine, you can safely skip this one.
OTOH, I’m thinking the donut shop is just trying to control the tourist population, like this tee shirt:

Yeah, I had that exact thought while it was happening, ski, but ChoatieCPT and our new DIL are visiting, along with my mom, and they wanted to see what the hype was about. I can report that not one of the donuts we ordered were anything worth standing in line for. There won’t be a next time.
