Due to the size of this year’s incoming class, our Residential Colleges within the North Residential Village could not accommodate all first-year students. Because we believe strongly in the Residential College environment for first-year students, we decided to create a fourth college within the South Residential Village – the Cedar Residential College.

Cedar Residential College (Alumni, Hose, Staley)</p>

Room selection for returning students was completed well before we knew the size of the incoming class. The space that we had available to house the additional first-year students is within the South Residential Village. The SRV will be home not only to the Cedar Residential College, but also to upperclass students and Greek houses.

Every residential college has the same staffing structure: a full-time first-year coordinator, a graduate assistant first-year coordinator, resident assistants and learning assistants. </p>

<p>The services in the south village are comparable to those offered in the north:</p>

• Supplemental Instruction
• 24-hour study space
• Housing Area Office

Dining commons with full-service dining

• Seminar and study rooms within each building

Our residential college staff is available to help students feel comfortable in their assigned community. Room changes can be requested starting in the third week of class for the fall semester. Our ability to accommodate room change requests is based on available space.
