Its frustrating, we sent an email to the help desk but seems they aren’t there, I understand they release at night so they don’t get inundated with complaints until people have a chance to sleep on the results, but when these situations arise the night time release makes less sense. Disappointing to wait all day and then still be left without a decision.

I think for schools like Case, it would be helpful to include what forms of demonstrated interest you showed? I didn’t tour campus, but I was on their mailing list since early 2023, opened every email, used a free ACT score report in July, and went to several seminars online (most of them I just muted in the background).

S24 also Got the 27500 per year scholarship

My kiddo was deferred. Kiddo applied knowing it was a big reach.

Applied aerospace engineering
3.9/4.1 gpa uw/w
2APs Calc and Physics
Test optional
EC include lots of music, service, science Olympiad, tennis. Well rounded and good experience but not significant leadership or honors.

There was a Q about demonstrated interest on here. We visited twice, attended 2 webinars, and opened all (most) emails.

We did not tour the campus but made sure we opened all the emails they they sent and visited the portal for application complete status a couple of times. We sent official SAT scores from college board. watched a couple of videos they sent about their programs.

I would say we probably spent about 1.5 to 2 hours on the whole after we sent the app.

was going to elaborate on EC but forgot:
Student Gov President
History Honor Society President
MechE Internship at USNA with PhD prof. (who wrote a rec letter)
Male ballet dancer ~10 years, considerable solo experience (did not do arts supplement)
Violinist, concertmaster of school orchestra, concertmaster of state capital youth orchestra

Co-Founded music tutoring academy for low income students

academics: 7 AP tests, 8 classes, passed all the tests with 5’s on world, lang, and gov, currently in AP Calc AB/BC, took AP Phys last year, standard honors/ap suite of courses, definite upward trend with a 4.75 W second semester junior year, but had some extenuating circumstances freshman year with family stuff that was written about In Detail in the essays
applied to engineering

Twin A accepted engineering with tuition exchange ($42K/yr). 4.0 UW, will have a total of 7 APs, 36 ACT (superscore), 2 varsity sports, some leadership, drama, quick recall.

For those tracking DI- did visit/tour in Nov 2022 (paired with an unforgettably amazing John Williams concert at Severance Hall). Update: all emails were apparently opened…

May everyone’s journey end with an amazing college experience at a great school for them, regardless of any bumps in the road.

Son got waitlisted, but he is guaranteed admission with $26.5K Scholarship in fall if he commits to ED2. It seems strange that they are guaranteeing admission with scholarship if he commits. Anyone else in the same boat and have feedback?

Seeing the above posts, I think there are multiple categories - 1) accepted, 2) accepted in spring with guaranteed fall admission if commit to ED2 3) waitlisted with guaranteed admission through ED2 4) waitlisted with no guarantees 5) Rejected

My daughter got in with a $34k scholarship. OOS
