<p>Generally there are reasons for cats urinating out of the box. I have had many cats in my life over the years and have only had two in my lifetime who had this problem. Both of these were not fixed in time to never learn the habit of spraying, which I think is where the problem came from. </p>
<p>Apparently these two cats have also not influenced the cats that followed because they do not have a problem with going outside of the litterbox. I do know that this can be a challenging behavioral problem with cats though so we’re mentally prepared to deal with it should be become a problem. We are both big time cat lovers and a life without cats is out of the question. 
Perhaps for the short term, but we definitely want some furry friends in our lives sooner rather than later.</p>

<p>Haha, I would love to do that if we had a second toilet. Don’t trust myself to move the litter pan during training in the middle of the night, unfortunately. I’m sure that would REALLY confuse kitty.</p>
<p>This may sound strange, but… Vodka in a spray bottle removes body odor from dance costumes! Maybe it will work, if not, you can always drink it!</p>
<p>That does sound strange, how did you get the idea?
I’ve used BAC-out for pet smells. They also have a fabric refresher that works without masking the smell like febreeze.</p>

<p>emeraldkity4- my daughter is a dancer and it is a well known remedy, it works very well. I think that some frazzled mom discovered it!</p>
