Obviously you care, since you’re posting in these threads pretty much once a day AT LEAST and are arguing over SAT questions and retaking it just to get a 700 CR.

So you’re saying that people who read a lot and score extremely high on critical reading have no life and little friends? You do realize how ■■■■■■■■ you sound here right?

Right because USC is a school for dunces and has no smart kids. And no, he’s hot at USC. If you look at 314159265’s location, the “???” explicitly says he isn’t attending a college or university. He’s IN southern california, but he’s not ATTENDING USC.

Read the entire post because you sound like even a bigger ■■■■■■ which you referred to me as. I said who cares about it ONCE Im in college… I obviously care now but the responders were making it seem like SAT reading is a life changing factor.

I never said USC was full of ‘dunces’. And how about you tell the other guy that a 680 is still above 95 percentile.

I’m sorry if you don’t have any friends or if you read a lot, but avid readers actually DO correlate to being less social THAN those who read less. Idk if I want to waste time by supporting this theory with backup, but you should already realize this Mr. CR.

@ Indianguy94 - You do realize that ETS has already responded to cortana and stated that the correct answer was “vehement,” don’t you? Now you’re just coming off as foolish.

Sometimes we need to look past the tips of our noses and realize when we’ve made a mistake. It’s OK to make a mistake; it’s not OK to start *****ing at everyone else because you regret making the mistake.
BTW, I marked “flippant” for the tone because at the time, I felt vehement and caustic were both too extreme. Notice how I’ve accepted that I’m wrong after reading the definitions of the options and thinking it over, rather than continuing to fight about it when I know I’m wrong.

Well, I got a 2400. First and only try. Learned the two volumes of DH and did the BB tests in the week before my SAT. My only prep before that was taking the PSAT during freshman, sophomore, and junior years. So 6 hours over 3 years plus 1 week of more intense practice=2400. Does that change your opinion of me?

And even though I got a 2400, I’m still applying to USC. I did my best to look past a school’s reputation and USWNR ranking when I chose the schools to which I’m applying.

Haha! I enjoyed reading this flame war I feel this whole argument is pretty useless: you can’t change your answer and it doesn’t matter at this point.

Collegeboard gave the damn answer: “vehement.”
Yes, I chose the answer as “caustic.”
I thought so too; I thought “vehement” was related to rancor and hostility-
unfortunately, I did not study enough and did not know another meaning… ;(

OKay, now can’t we just stop debating about this problem?
It is “always” beneficial to debate to learn from one another, but such commentaries are unnecessary…getting too personal here

If you read a lot, not only will you understand word usage better, you will also become more articulate and will be able to make more persuasive arguments.

^ I literally have never read a single real book in my entire life (sparknotes every time baby)… Can you explain why I do very well at debate tournaments and also why I’ve got a 790 CR score?

Not bragging or anything… I can’t even explain it lol.
