There’s a lovely restaurant right on the harbor in Yarmouth where we eat.
I would love to join this someday. Is it possible it could be on a Sunday? (Also I think 9/23 is Rosh Hashana if that affects anyone)
It’s on my calendar. I won’t know until it gets closer if I’ll still be in Maine on that date this year and will let you know.
I’ll vouch for the lovely venue. The Royal River Grill House is a perfect lunch spot.
Weekend days never work for me for these sorts of day trips (or one overnight). I just prefer not to battle the traffic heading into ME on the weekends. Plus brunch on Sunday at this particular restaurant is guaranteed to be very crowded.
@MaineLonghorn does the 24th work better…as it’s not the Jewish holiday?
Would love to meet you all, but unfortunately, I’ll be working and it’s just a bit too far. If I were to come, I’d certainly read through the Things that Annoy Me thread concerning seating in restaurants and picking the 'best" seat, just to be sure not to piss anyone off.

OK, I will change it to September 24. Weekends don’t work for me, either, because we go up to our camp.
I appreciate that! But (don’t get mad) the 24th is the 2nd day of RH. And the 25th is the fast day immediately afterward…but honestly, it might not affect anyone so maybe it’s OK on whichever date you choose this year!
Oh, I won’t get mad. OK, so September 23-25 is out. Would September 26 work? I can’t make the 22nd.
