Cell Phone Companies & Billing--ARGH!

^^^This. Is. Nuts.

Even though I know they are a popular target for being one of the smaller providers, I also have had a very positive experience with Sprint. I switched two phones from Verizon when the iPhone 5 came out and went with Sprint because of the unlimited everything plans.

I was eligible for and received a monthly 10% discount to my bill and one waived activation fee, as well as a switchover promotion (of $99 per line). It took a few months for all of it to be processed and show up, but it was all applied correctly. Sprint rep was very helpful throughout the process and very willing to make sure I got everything I was eligible for.

There is a service where you can sell the end of your contract to avoid cancellation or early termination fees, but I have no personal experience with it, since we have always waited until after our contract ended before switching anything.

Just found out there is a promotion through 1/10/2013 that will give $100 off each line from another carrier. We may get $300-400 credit for getting new service with Sprint, AND waiver of activation fees! I think that would be awesome! I sent in the information to Sprint and will see whether we can work it out (was supposed to be done within 72 hours of getting the numbers but it has been longer because I just discovered this deal, which the Sprint rep at the toll-free number was unaware of and the HI reps never mentioned and thought had expired). Will push hard to try to get this discount.
