And think of this scenerio…you could be on waitlists at some places…and the admissions process could really drag on…resulting in rejections at the end.

What about any other of the Florida Publics
With Bright Futures you already have 75% except for service hours? and if you bump up score to get 100% you are at about 15000 without any financial aid or merit
USF is guaranteed from the program you are in so there is one safety
If you are all set to be happy there you don’t need any other safeties
However, one or two more safeties wouldn’t hurt since its always good to have more options

One school that you might consider is Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. It has about 1500 students, offers economics as a major and both creative writing and African American studies as minors; so it seems to check off some of your boxes. According to its website, it will also match the in-state flagship tuition for all 50 states.
