<p>What’s wrong with just saying “no”? Hostility reflects how much you don’t want him to get in because if he did it you’d all feel terrible about yourselves. Give the guy a break. We’re all going through this college business together.</p>
<p>schismmanifesto: not true. I took many upper-level courses at my school (it was named #7 in the nation by Newsweek) and I’m in the top 5%. I was accepted into Rice (selective school) and am a calculus tutor. My SAT I? 2050 (SUPERSCORED). I’m just not a good test taker when it comes to the SAT I. I took it twice and it sucked. It wasn’t hard, just tricky. And if you’re having a bad day the timing really doesn’t help.</p>
<p>I decided to give up on SAT I and took the SAT II’s. 800 Physics, 800 Math II. </p>
<p>SAT I’s are not an accurate measure of intellectual ability AT ALL.</p>
