Hey ProjectStanford, quick question for ya –

I go to a really prestigious private school also, and my GPA is along the lines of yours (10th 3.55, 11th 3.8, 12th 3.9). But that’s without honors/AP classes, and with the 4.0 A, 3.0 B scale GPA. Does your school do 4.333 A, 4.0 A-, 3.666 B+, etc.? If so, does your school send out GPA like that?

Also, is it required to send out all 4 years of high school’s grades? I noticed you only listed 10th-12th, which is what my school sends.

you might be best served to ask the Stanford board.

generally speaking, the only things they really want to hear about are (1) your grades as they come in, obviously, (2) awards or competitions you’ve won, (3) major changes in life situation - job you’re working on, academic status changes, etc. additional recs don’t help.

PS - there are many questions here for you in this thread. if you want help, you also might be best served in answering them.

What’s ISERP? =P I’m working with Columbia faculty as a continued research project, throughout this school year, if that answers your question?

Chair2: Yes, though my 9th grade grades were not looked at for Stanford, they were sent out to all schools regardless. Nevertheless, that’s very interesting that your school sends out 10-12th exclusively.
