If any Swarthmore was a little ego boost, would have loved to get admitted but wasn’t bummed out by it at all.
Rochester is much higher than UIUC because of UR’s open curriculum and cluster system. Also despite my major being relatively new, it’s extremely well designed at UR with different tracks of specialization and a really well put together curriculum. And I have the possibility of double majoring in CS at Rochester, which would be nearly impossible at UIUC. They also have me 10k merit per year, waiting for the full financial aid but my guess based on the NPC is that it’ll either be same price as UIUC or cheaper. Very satisfied with this result, only schools I would pick over UR would be WashU, Rice, Yale, maybe NU and Vandy, and my true number one, Brown. But grad school always exists for those
