Low income student will have zero issue with meets needs schools. They can apply all day long to those and not worry- they need to make sure they have an affordable sure thing if those don’t work out. I really wish posters would stop pushing the too expensive narrative on FGLI students - these are not donut hole families searching for merit. These students should be ENCOURAGED to shoot their shot as it is 1,000% their best option for an affordable school

Meets need and need blind schools, yes.

Meets need and need aware schools, not necessarily. At these schools, the student that shows a need of 80,000 may get turned down, while a less qualified student with a need of $50,000 may get in. Lafayette College gave a look at how this works in the article below.
