Chance an Alaskan for top schools

Penn only takes in account legacy seriously for ED, which you don’t seem to be applying for. In fact, I’ve seen many well-qualified students who are legacies turned down RD, who likely would have gotten in if they weren’t legacies, because it really hurts you to be a legacy during RD. They feel that not applying early means that you’re not showing interest (since, presumably, you know enough about the school from your parents), so they actually are likely to turn you down as a result.
