I thought FIRST Lego League (FLL) is for students in elementary and middle school. Has it changed? I used to ref FLL competitions but have moved to FTC for the past 10 years. FTC is for high school students. Many schools on your list attract FTC, FRC, and Vex team members.
UAE doesn’t do FRC. FTC does not have nationals here but rather an organization sending a team for international competition by extorting money from whoever can pay the highest to be on the team while coaches do most of the work.
Our school doesn’t let us participate in VEX for a reason none of us fully understand.

That sounds like a serious accusation. The reason I brought up FTC FRC and VEX is to let you know that among your peer applicants there are many with experiences in better known robotics activities.
i was selected to participate in FTC, i wouldve done it if it didnt cost me about $3000 + travel

Make sure to include this fact in your app, for example use the additional info section to explain FTC was cost prohibitive.
Not sure the cost element will ring true since OP states family is full pay (and seems willing to pay $100,000/year for college).

I was surprised by the UIUC rejection, but apparently it has been a tough year for applications there. The Your College Bound Kid podcast unpacked the big publics and the results seen from the kids in his private college counseling group practice.

They don’t have a CDS. I wonder if internationals have a lower acceptance rate. Purdue, as an example admitted 22% whereas the ion state rate was 71% and out of state was 44%.
Some of that delta may be majors applied with international heavier engineering/cs vs the in and out if state but perhaps UIUC is similar.
I wasn’t surprised. Although OP is a very good candidate, UIUC’s computer engineering is super strong and extremely hard to get in even for domestic students (although apparently not as hard as it’s CS). If you believe US News ranking – which many applicants do and care about, rightly or wrongly – UIUC’s ECE is perennial top 5.

For 2024-25, the international acceptance rate was 33%, lower than the overall acceptance rate of 42%.
I am never surprised when OOS/international students aren’t accepted at UIUC to competitive majors like Comp Eng. UIUC doesn’t divulge acceptance rate by major by in-state vs. domestic OOS vs. International, but I wouldn’t be surprised if comp eng acceptance rate for internationals is quite a bit lower than Grainger’s overall acceptance rate of 21.2%. Using the link I provided, you can access the CDS (xls files) directly from UIUCs institutional reporting webpage (best to always google that first, rather than ‘school name + CDS’.) UIUC provides a great deal of additional data on that page I linked.

Kind of a moot point fornpurpose of this thread since the OP was rejected from UIUC.
I don’t disagree. I was merely correcting misinformation when a poster said UIUC doesn’t have a CDS.
