Just for clarity, that was a reference to what they normally expect of US domestic students. I agree they do not expect that of A Level students, but I have now repeatedly heard that they look for other indications of an understanding of, and preparation for, a US-style undergrad education, including to compensate for that fact.
What sort of indications? If someone is applying as a STEM major with STEM A levels and STEM extracurriculars, how can they demonstrate an understanding of, and preparation for, a US-style undergrad education?
