<p>Your stats are good but from my understanding it is usually given to those who are accepted in the early action phase of the application. All of my friends who got into the scholars program applied early. They only accept about 500 incoming freshman out of about 4000 so once they reach that limit they are done. I encourage you to still apply but if you don’t you can try after you first fall semester at state. If you have a 3.5 gpa or 3.75 for (Engineering and science majors) you will be automatically accepted and start the program the following spring semester. They will send you an email saying that you have been invited to join the US program. Me and roommate are currently in the program. To stay in the program you have to maintain a 3.25 or above and attend some programs. But overall, it is really a good program and a lot easier and less demanding than the honors program. my suit mate who’s in the program got to go to NY for her fall break. You also get to register for classes earlier than everyone else which is good because you get the classes that you want and the time! and you can take honors classes.
