Chance for Chem at Northwestern! :)

I wouldn’t not apply because someone else is. You never know what might turn off/on the admissions council. You’re a typical applicant, so just go along for the gamble! You’re not going to get into every school you apply to if you take risks.

Right, but I am in love with the college of chem at Berkeley (first choice). Ok, I will apply then.

Just poking in, go with the ACT. I got in with a 32 ACT, so a 33 would be fine (you’d be in the upper half of the middle 50%).

Your GPA is so-so but the rest of your app could be pretty badass. Don’t stress so much.

“1 of 5 juniors to take Calc BC this year”

Where do you live because there are 3 fresh, 12 soph, and ~120 juniors taking ap calc in my school.

OUCH!!! That REALLY sucks that the valedictorian is apply to NU!!! Usually for these top colleges they choose people by region, so I would assume its going to be either him or you, probably not both.

Hm you probably go to a much smarter school or something than I do. Most people take calc bc in senior year, except for a select few that can take placement exam to skip an year.

However, it does not take matter when you take it, the most important thing is learning how to do calculus well. :)

Nah, a lot more people are applying to NU in my school, so at this point, I am just going to apply and hope for the best.

Dude, my year, almost a third of the graduating senior class applied to NU. And my school is pretty big. Don’t worry about competition, you’ll do fine. (maybe)
