Bumppppppppp

Wow I just saw this again. Hopefully she has gotten her scores but a 2200+ should be fine. My school gets nearly 80+ Berkeley acceptances each year…but that’s because our class size is 1000. Most of the ones that get accepted in an average threshold have about 3.85+ and 2150-2200+

Now, if I were an adcom, I would view your sister’s profile with a strange expression. How is she able to do so well in school, but so poorly on the SAT? What about the subject tests (easier than AP classes)? So, the question I would be asking is “is she cheating?” Is her school noncompetitive? Did she choke? Nevertheless, with those scores, she will have a hard time getting into those schools. The only thing she can do is take the ACT and hope. What are her AP scores and if she wants to major in chem, why is her chem SAT II so low? I currently go to Uchicago, and can say without a doubt, that as an Asian applicant, your sister would be rejected (as of right now).

@kiddo64 hahah no she is not cheating. she focuses more on schoolwork than SATs and tests of those sorts I guess. our school is the top public school in our city so no our school is not noncompetitive. she just took her last SAT last Saturday, so I guess all we can do is wait and see what happens.
