Chance for my dream school plus tips please C:

<p>Hello, ever since I visited Lehigh last week, it is now my number one choice. Could you tell me my chance for Lehigh as well as additional tips that would improve my chance? Thank you</p>

<p>Background:
Asian American Male
First generation
State: NJ
Lives in a town with 99% Hispanics
I ran the NPC and my EFC was <3</p>

<p>My Stats:
GPA:4.33 (weighted and my school does not unweight)
Rank: top 2% out of around 450 students
SAT: 1870 (Math 740 CR 540 W 590) :C low I know
ACT:26 (Math 31 Science 27 Reading 23 English 24 Essay 8) :C low too and I’m retaking
Most rigorous course load available at my school</p>

<p>Intended Major: Chemical Engineering (or Biomedial Engineering)</p>

<p>EC:
-M.O.M’s (my outreach mission)
-Performing Arts Academy (performed in 8 plays/dance concerts with major roles in few)
-Cross country track, Indoor Track, Outdoor track (each two years)
-Over 400 hours of community service
-International Thespian Honor Society-Treasure
-National Honors Society-Secretary and running for VP next year(well this upcoming year)
-Peer Mediation
-Some other minor clubs: Math, Italian, Biology, etc.</p>

<p>I believe my essay for the common app is going to be AMAZING (according to GC and my AP english teacher)
My letters of rec are going to be very touching as well (I read one for last years NJ Scholars Application-made semi finalist) </p>

<p>IF YOU COULD SHARE SOME TIPS WITH IT THAT WILL BE AMAZING!!! I HAVE VISITED THE B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L CAMPUS AND ALSO EMAILED THE ADMISSION CONS. WITH SOME QUESTIONS AND SHOWED MY INTEREST.</p>

Lehigh is a low reach with the SAT. Try to bring it up to 2000 and you will be golden applying ED.</p>

<p>I believe you have a low reach or high match with this school. Boost up your test score and you should be fine.</p>

<p>I agree, get that test score up! If Lehigh doesn’t require both I’d suggest taking a few practice tests and picking a route to go- SAT or ACT. If you’re a rising junior, you have plenty of time to take either of these tests multiple times again. If you’re a rising senior, utilize the rest of your summer and study hard! Best of luck!</p>

<p>I’m a rising senior and I was initially planning to just retake the ACT Sept and then the SAT 2 October but I guess I have to retake both. Thank you all!</p>

<p>My son is a current student (BioE). A couple tips. Definitely retake SAT. Also, if Lehigh is your clear cut #1 and financials aren’t a question, then definitely go ED. In addition, visit, visit, visit. Lehigh wants those students who really want to go the LU as their #1 so the more you canvisit, the better</p>

<p>@LU2017 I will definitely retake them! Unfortunately I have to compare aid so I wouldn’t be able to apply ED and okay I’ll try to revisit the campus during the fall! Thank you for your tips C:</p>
