I have not looked at Pitt but I would be surprised if they do not offer the major.
Op, I agree you have a very strong profile and you donât need to stress.
There is NOTHING wrong with a prospective Cog Sci person doing CS/Psych (and it can be a psych major with a CS minor). It is still an emerging field, and donât let nomenclature keep you from what you want to learn. So many kids slice the bologna way too thin⊠three things are important-
1- developing the analytical tools youâll need (applied math, comp sci, writing)
2- exposure to the key content areas (psych, neuro, linguistics if thatâs an interest)
3-robust faculty with a lot going on in terms of interdisciplinary and well funded research.
Doesnât matter what they call it!

Related to this, if you do decide you want to apply to some UCs, make sure you have the fine arts requirement - something out of state students sometimes forget. If you havenât already, double check all such UC requirements as they can be a bit specific in the coursework they want to see.
