Chance/Match Me - applying Yale REA, intended math/math ed major; $0 from divorced parents [3.97 GPA, 32 ACT, rural KS resident]

Have you completed FAFSA yet? If so, what is your SAI?

Is this <$75K for both parents combined? Is either parent re-married?

What does the Yale NPC show? Note that many loan providers will not allow grandparents to co-sign loans (can be age dependent.)

OP would have to tolerate a state with anti-LGBTQ policies, some of which directly impact student life at Oberlin.

The 10% promise was recently announcedby Whitman (not Willamette).

Totally agree with the commenter who noted the positivity of the OP, good luck to you, sounds like you have a compelling story to tell and many colleges will be interested. I’m seconding the suggestions to look at Connecticut College, Wesleyan, Amherst, and the Claremont colleges. These are wealthy colleges with resources to support independent students (which you are, de facto if not de jure). Grinnell also comes to mind since it has an extraordinary endowment.

Duh - you are correct. Funny, I put Washington - Willamette is in Oregon…I had the right school on top of mind but you are correct, I put the wrong name.

Thanks for correcting.
