@geolawyer1903 Question about your listed EFC of 35K: is this what your parents can afford to pay or is this the EFC calculated from the net price calculators (NPC)? Those two items are not necessarily the same. A family with a modest income can have an EFC spit out by the NPC that is not realistic for the family’s finances.
I think that term “expected family contribution” is very confusing, even to adults. I wonder in they’re changing that term in the new FAFSA.
