I am very Very VERY middle class but the net price calculators mostly have me paying everything by myself unless I get a merit scholarship but my family has assured me that tuition costs will not need to have a weight on my decision, which I am grateful for.

If NPCs at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc. say no financial aid, you may want to readjust your definition of “very Very VERY middle class”. More likely, you are “very Very VERY upper Upper UPPER middle class”.
