Can you pay full out-of-state costs? Can you do that and have money left over for medical school (seems like your intent based on job shadowing at a hospital and biology major)?
UCs do not offer need-based financial aid to out-of-state students. There are merit scholarships, but most are relatively small compared to the out-of-state list price (exception: Regents’ scholarship at UCB, but that should be considered a high reach for all applicants).
