When I mean ~30 percent I’m talking about they’re 15 going into BS, and turning 16 during freshmen year (Or thats what friends, the AO, and the tour guide responded when I asked). And majority of the remaining are turning 15 early and theres a few 14 year olds in freshmen year. Or thats what I’m understanding, correct me if I’m incorrect.
My son just turned 13 and he’s in year9 (grade8) at a UK boarding school now, while we are here, half way across the world apart. He’s in the vertical dorm system, so he’s the youngest year group in the dorm, and so far the older boys are very nice to the fourth form boys.
In the case of OP @GideonM , I believe that it will be a big adjustment but it should be manageable. It is a challenge to step out of your comfort zone to be responsible for your own well-being, but you will also learn all the important critical skills too.
Good luck. I’m rooting for you and all the applicants for this year cycle. Hope to hear the good news on M10!!!
I want to hear some good news on March 10 as well!
