I think you have an excellent chance at Pomona. You can see the Fall 2013 freshman stats here:

http://www.csupomona.edu/~irar/just-the-facts/first-time-freshmen.shtml

However, as you can see architecture is one of the most competitive majors at Pomona:

http://www.csupomona.edu/~irar/Documents/Application%20Counts%20by%20Major_Fall%202011%20to%20Fall%202013.pdf

SLO is far more competitive. Here is the Fall 2014 freshman profile:

<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions;

This chart isn’t the easiest thing to read, but if you look at p. 9, you can see that in Fall 2014, SLO rec’d 1,034 applications for architecture, for a target class of 142:

<a href=“IR Home - Institutional Research - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo”>IR Home - Institutional Research - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo;

Of course, they would have admitted more than 142 applicants–maybe up to 300? That’s just a guess.

What is your your M + CR SAT score? Neither Pomona or SLO considers the writing portion of the SAT. Your SAT score isn’t bad, but it wouldn’t hurt to try and get it higher (especially for SLO).

Good luck!
