Yeah fair - I just looked up the definition of hook and I don’t think my circumstances qualify as a hook (Honestly I misremembered what that term was lol - thought it meant " unique circumstances" and not what college vine defined it as). Probably the main thing that I’ve been wondering (And why I decided to post here) is how much do colleges take into account circumstances like family crises or other events that have affected things like GPA & scores on the SAT/ACT(I was also not able to take Trig my Junior year due to being unable to register for the dual credit class due COVID among other things which significantly hurt my math score when I took the SAT and ACT)
