@aggiesomeday123 I can’t speak for Kelley but as far as IU as a whole, there are a lot of Indiana kids and a large population of kids from the Chicago area from what we’ve seen so far. However, IU is very diverse and in the tours we took we had people from all over in our groups.
One other thing to consider, some of the Indiana high schools are quite large so even if there is a large number of kids going to IU from the same school, don’t assume that they all know each other. My D is going to be a freshman at IU and there are two kids who are going to be in her LLC and other than knowing their names, she really doesn’t know them and never had a single class with them in HS.
When I went to college I went to one several states away and didn’t know a single person on campus. I found that people actually were more open to me because I was different and not one of the “locals”. Large schools like IU and especially Kelley draw a very diverse group so I would think your student would fit in with the diverse group that Kelley attracts.
