I learn pretty well independently but noise in classrooms can be a big problem for focus for me. From what I can tell college will be a pretty good environment for me since there is less time spent in classrooms and more time spent doing independent study and homework. I would probably benefit from a formal autism support program. As for co-op programs, I think it would depend on what type of work experience I would be getting, but I sort of want to focus on the academics and theory, at least for the first couple years. I do want to do marching band in college. Thanks for the Appalachian State recommendation, I’ll definitely check it out. As for the financial aid, my SAI is high this year but, as I’ve said, my mom is retiring soon, probably next year. That’s why I plan to appeal and why my budget is low, because her income will be lower when she retires and she can’t really delay her retirement. She’s old. The reason I don’t have Clemson on my list is because it’s sort of in the middle of nowhere; I don’t really want to live in a college town. The school spirit there also seems a bit overwhelming.
