According to her counselor, she has a very strong case for Emory ED2. However in the past, usually kids got in for RD. I think because Emory knows RD kids from her school has higher stats since they all applied for Emory’s merit scholarship way back in Nov.
Also, per her school’s naviance, historically not many kids applied to Emory. Only Top 1-3 % kids seemed to apply because of merit. Around 6-8 kids (out of 350) applied to Emory each year and always 2 kids got admitted each year in the past. This year so far, 11 kids applied (all RD) and my DD is the only one going for ED2. Also, my sister is a professor at Emory and we can check off a box where it’s asking if any relative working for Emory. I know that doesn’t mean anything for her admission but at least it will show her motivation to attend.
My DD has been re-editing her essays to show her fit with school.
