Chance me for RD(with legacy) and help me answer a few questions about Williams? :)

Your chances, certainly, are excellent – the combination of your academics, background, and connection to Williams probably give you a better than 50/50 shot.

There are probably not a ton of off-campus internship opportunities in the nearby area. Maybe a few, but the area is really not urban enough to offer a ton. But I wouldn’t let that dissuade you. You will have plenty of great internship opportunities in the summers and also opportunities for experiential learning during Winter Study. Check out some of the Econ Winter Study offerings last year as an example (and of course other departments offer other options that are an internship-like experience for the month of January):

Between summers and Winter Study, you’ll have plenty of opportunities for hands-on internships in econ/business if you are so inclined. Many recruiters come to campus for summer jobs, in particular in Econ-related fields. But during the semesters, those opportunities will be harder to come by; honestly, though, you’ll be so busy that ta time-intensive internship during the semester probably isn’t the best course of action in all events, at least until you are a senior.
