The answer to Stanford and MIT chances is simple.
Can you get in ?
Yes, if you apply.
Will you get in ?
Statistically highly unlikely but if you don’t apply, it’s 100% assured you won’t get in.
And if you end up at Minnesota or South Carolina or any other school with an M or S initial, the sun will still rise.

PS - if you like MIT, look at RPI as a safer version - and if you like Stanford, there’s any # of schools that would be a match.
Or do you simply like them for their stature and not really the schools themselves?
