I mentioned to consider me OOS for ADMISSION PURPOSES. UC considers applicants as CA residents for admission purposes if they graduate from a CA high school, have been living in CA for the past 12 months, have a spouse/parent working at a UC establishment or have a parent living in CA if the applicant is under 18.

My mother lives in CA, but I am 18 years old so IDK if I would be counted as an in-state for admission purposes because although I have a CA resident parent, I am not under 18 and I have only been in CA for the summer break this year.
I would 100% be considered as a CA resident for TUITION PURPOSES because I am filed as a dependent on my CA resident mother’s tax documents. Plus I am registered to vote in CA, have a state ID, a permanent home address and a checking account in CA so being classified as in-state for tuition purposes would not be an issue, I am only doubtful about being classified as in-state for admission purposes so that is why I mentioned that in my original post,
I have a friend who graduated high school from India and got into University Of Washington, he was considered as an OOS for admission purposes but pays in-state tuition because he is a US Citizen and his dad is a WA resident.
