Chance me for UM-Ann Arbor!

At this point, even 4.0 students with strong standardized test scores should consider Michigan a target. There are no safeties. The number of applicants I have known in Dubai with perfect academic credentials that have been rejected in recent years is alarming. Students who were admitted into other peer institutions suchs as Cal, Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, Northwestern and Penn, yet rejected at Michigan.

I agree with billscho, the OP’s curriculum and school grading structure may be as such that his 3.6 GPA is high enough. However, generally speaking, students admitted into Michigan generally have unweighed GPAs in the 3.8-4.0 range.
