Chance me for Yale/Princeton? Will chance back

@bluberaptor‌ In our school (she and I go to the same school), only 10 juniors out of about 80 people who were qualified for BC took BC. I was one of those 10. In our school, taking BC as a junior (and AP Lang too) is suicide. Sure taking MVC or Linear Algebra or something at a local college is better, but when you are in the middle of nowhere with your school offering no mathematics-related dual enrollment programs, this is the best you have. Sure, taking the opportunity to reach out and see whether you really want to take MVC (if you are interested in mathematics, and she is not - see above) is good, but not for her.

I also don’t see how Schreyers Honors College is a low match. It’s one of the best (and one of the most selective) honors programs in the nation. Also, I would say Duke is a High Match or Low Reach. I don’t see how it’s just a reach. So stop going around CC feeling all superior just because you think you’re so good and everyone else won’t get in. If you’re one of those people who says that everyone’s college selections are Reaches and then hopes that they won’t apply just so you have a better chance, please just stop right now. And you’re just showing your idiocy saying inaccurate things (especially about Schreyers - please don’t say that Penn State’s Honors Program is bad).

It all depends on how the college compares applicants to applicants of the same high school, and she’s very impressive in our impressive class of 2015.
