<p>Interesting Question – for my D, we used the following categories. </p>
<p>Reach (most candidates have better stats in some way);
Match High (Statistics match admissions profile, but it’s a numbers game );
Match Mid (Statistics match admissions profile >50% chance, but rejection wouldn’t be a shock)
Match - Low (Statistics significantly better than average in some way, but school produces some squirrely results, so it can’t be considered a safety (75% chance or better)
Safety – If you don’t get in, it’s a problem.</p>
<p>With this system, Tulane can be a Match-Low and Northwestern a Match-High (both Matches, though they have significantly different acceptance chances).
