The only information OP has provided is that her daughter has a 3.5 weighted GPA, has taken 5 AP classes and is applying test optional to Clemson. Several of the schools mentioned in your post - Auburn,UTK,and the Florida publics require test scores. It would be useful to know if the student has taken a test and if so what that is. Without a test score, those schools are not a “light reach”, they are not happening.

Wofford competes quite aggressively with Clemson for in-state students, and while not similarly sized at all could be a very nice fit depending on what your needs are. It will also almost assuredly be less expensive unless you are in-state of SC. Do not let sticker prices shock you- over 90% of kids receive aid of ranges between 15-30K per year.
