<p>hmmm… your application is interesting, you seem like the type of kid, if he applied to all the ivies, would get into 1 or 2… your glaring strong and weak spots on your application really boil down to time and place at the admissions office, and if they have enough type of kids like you or not</p>

<p>and if i don’t get into HYPS or Dartmouth(a tough choice between Duke and this school, very simmilar except for the weather)…i would risk getting into the most realistic school which matches my app (Duke)…</p>

<p>Your case will certainly be helped by higher SAT scores, and the worth of your publications can be judged by someone in the field/department whom the ad coms will contact. If opportunity to publish exists due to a family connection,or family arranged internship, then obviously they won’t hold as much weight.</p>
<p>Your GPA, especially the C+ in Pre-calc, might well indeed raise questions and eyebrows. Junior year is examined and weighted so carefully, this may be your achilles heel. Your test scores will show you have the capability, the grades show your overall maturity and commitment to academics. </p>
<p>Be sure you love your match and safety schools, but hope for the best. (If you love the idea of HYPS, go for it, and do Duke RD.) Good luck!</p>

h-bomb (harvad) - umm, honestly, idk dude. the sat scores are a bit low, but then again your ec’s are banger
stanford - maybe same as harvard
darmouth - i’m not too sure. i really have no clue what dartmouth looks for
usc - yea, you should be good. they may like the nj demographic also (i guess that applies to stanford too)
lehigh - yea, of course
wash u - i think you have a decent chance at this too. but i hear they like ppl w/ “perfect” stats especially, so if you took october sat’s and improved, that could help. but your subject tests are apparently great</p>

<p>lol thanks everyone for their comments…i probably am going to apply ED to duke…Harvard Stanford and Dartmouth, an admissions in general are such a crapshoot that I dont want to risk getting rejected from Duke…</p>
<p>one last question…Does applying ED knock out scholarship consideration…they say it doesnt but i think thats ********…why would they give you money if your commitetd…in my eyes Duke is sort of a safety for HYPS bound and ivy bound kids…so they’ll give the scholarships to them to try and lure them away…that and the fact that incoming bbal players like elliot williams want that cash money scholarship lol…</p>
