As mentioned to @IndySceptic privately, I lecture at each school and sit on the board of 1 of them. There is considerable professional and proprietary research done around overlap schools and I will share highlights the next time I can get my hands on some. The missing ingredient that many rankings miss is the quality of the students attending (because it is hard to figure out), as this often influences what is taught and the depth of material. From an SAT perspective, I used the Trinity/Williams and Bentley/Babson analogy to emphasize that the students entering are a different caliber. While Williams students are +130 points on the SAT, Bentley students will be -140 points when the data comes out officially this year.
I will move on because my real point is that if we lump 2 schools with very different caliber student profiles together, we won’t be helping a student who might have no choice but to deal with school snobbery.
Moving on.
