Miami’s diversity is not on the extreme side with 80% caucasian in total.
CWRU (obviously not the same price) is 36% white followed by 25% Asian.
Different academic focuses; different campus types - one is really nice (IMHO) but has little around. The other is awkward (to me) but is near Little Italy and not far from Cleveland.
In the end, affordability has to be there (and admissions - obviously CWRU is a hard get) - and then you can choose what you like.
There’s lots of other campuses like both but given your major and financial desires, there are alternatives. But hopefully she has a great time at Miami - and it works for her after all. You never know. Make sure she’s not feeling the Vibe. I loved Miami - but my kid didn’t. It’s only her that mattered!!!
A trip that tells you I don’t like it is as valuable as one that says you do - if she doesn’t, figure out why - is it just diversity or is it more? Size, color of buildings, the isolation, etc?
Enjoy the night.
