I applied to CC because they have the research/science programs I wanted (I’ve already worked at one of the labs involved in their undergrad programs for two years, and I’ve loved it!), and my interest is in biochemistry, which is at CC not SEAS. And yeah, I definitely agree about the chances being hazy part. You really never know with these things, and a lot of it is luck and whether the school feels that you’re a good match for them or not. Hopefully, my interest will shine through with my essays, work experience, contact with some scientists there, and the fact that I’ve had a couple of family members go there, but you honestly never know! Of course I’m dying to get again, but if I don’t, there are schools out there I’d be proud to attend, as well. Thanks for the honest opinions :).
