<p>Comparing to the Academic Profile on the Northeastern website ([Academic</a> Profile | Admissions](<a href=“http://www.northeastern.edu/admissions/apply/profile.html]Academic”>http://www.northeastern.edu/admissions/apply/profile.html)), your grades/ACT are a bit low. A big upward trend should definitely help, though, as should your rigorous class choices. Still a 3.3 weighted is quite low. How does this compare to other students at your school, though? If your school tends to be tough on grading, and your GPA gives you a fairly high rank, you might be OK. Being first generation/URM might also be a boost.
I feel like Northeastern is a reach, though. It’s possible that the EA result could be to defer you until RD. Do you think that your current grades would improve your GPA and therefore your admissions prospects? If so, you are better off waiting until RD to apply and present your strongest application than apply EA.</p>
