<p>Dad passed away April of junior year from leukemia
Large dip in my grades starting from 2nd semester sophomore year (dad got diagnosed durin xmas break) and got worse junior year</p>

<p>Moved to LA beginning of junior year but moved back in November of same semester
Received 1 D and 1 C each semester junior + 1 C 2nd sem sophomore year)
Total - 2 Ds and 3 Cs (Rest were Bs and As)

APs were less than a month after dad passed away</p>

<p>I reckon my essays are satisfactory and I am overall pleased with them. </p>

<p>There’s one thing I’m worried about the most: my GPA.
From what I’ve seen, UCs care a LOT on GPA, and since my GPA is pretty low, I think that’ll somehow be detrimental to my chances. Could the experts here give some feedback about that? :D</p>
